Optimizing design houses' ship designs means that Top-Sun Marine can use its extensive professional experience to assist ship owners make their designs more appropriate to the client business.


Drawings Approval and Equipment Selection:
The work of Top-Sun Marine on behalf of ship owners with the Classification Society is invaluable, and covers stages of ship design approval including technical designs, detailed designs and working designs. We will monitor model testing organized by the design house and report approval. During the drawing approval process, we can assist ship owners gain approval for their equipment technical agreements. Site Supervision during Construction:
Top-Sun Marine provides project management by supplying complete on-site teams for ship owners or experienced supervisors to join ship owners' on-site teams. According to the requirements of the ship owner, Top-Sun Marine can assist in the locating of suitable on-site management to be employed directly by the ship owner and report directly to the ship owner. During construction, all site inspectors will be fully monitored and shall report to the ship owner via a site manager. Frequent assistance and support will be provided by Top-Sun Marine as and when needed to ensure all aspects of the job are executed smoothly. All Top-Sun Marine's staff are fluent in English. Guarantee Shipyard and Equipment Manufacturing:
Top-Sun Marine provides ship owners guarantees for their dealings with shipyards and equipment manufacturers following the delivery of vessels. Vessels are widely guaranteed for one year following delivery, but communication with equipment manufacturers, especially smaller Chinese operators, can be problematic due to complex documentation. We will use our excellent relationships with shipyards, design houses and marine equipment manufacturers to ensure that this is done smoothly and professionally. Top-Sun Marine can also step in to guarantee an engineer is onboard to assist the ship owner, each assigned engineer will have extensive relevant experience and a high standard of spoken English.


Consultancy Services:
We can provide experienced inspectors to conduct pre-purchasing inspections for both second-hand and new building re-sales to ship buyers. Pre-purchase inspections can be made by Top-Sun marine inspectors in all parts of China at just 1 day's notice. (lengthy trips may require longer for logistical reasons).
Top-Sun Marine works closely with banks, insurance companies and lawyers as a third party in technical and quality inspection. We can also assist ship owners visit foreign equipment manufacturers' Chinese factories to allay any concerns regarding quality control. Top-Sun Marine's technical inspectors will evaluate quality control measures and determine whether factories meet the client's standards.
